Following his departure from Milan, Umberto Gandini is set to embark on a new Italian adventure.
After saying his farewell to AC Milan, it was made official this morning that Umberto Gandini will join AS Roma’s front office, replacing former sporting director Walter Sabatini. Gandini spent 23 years with the club and was named Milan’s sporting director in 1993.
Gandini served as a consultant to Mediaset Premium before making his move to Milan which was owned by former chairman Silvio Berlusconi. As his arrival is imminent, the Giallorossi are already in the work to offer contract renewals to the likes of Radja Nainnggolan, Kostas Manolas, and Kevin Strootman.
