Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini feels that Atalanta deserved their win over Inter
FcInterNews.it reported on Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini comments after their inspiring win over Inter.
Gasperini believes a draw would have been an unacceptable end to the game, and feels his team deserved the result;
“We played a great match, of course we will never be perfect but we played with clarity, which gives me plenty of satisfaction.
Gasperini also gave praise to Mattia Caldara:
“Caldara played a great game today, and he was extremely important for us up front as our key center forward. He is able to find other players and bring them into the game, which he does extremely well, he will grow further. Caldara made an important contribution, as he did against Napoli.”
Finally, Gasperini spoke about the goal conceded to Eder:
“Eder’s goal? it was unfortunate to concede but these things are normal and did not reflect the game. A draw would have been difficult to accept for us”
