Genoa’s latest Primavera product made his debut this evening against Torino.
A tough loss for the Grifoni, Andrea Belotti downed the Genovese 1-0 but there was a single bright spot in the loss.
Coming onto the field late in the match was Pietro Pellegri, a 15 year old, 280 days forward who equaled a record set 79 years ago by Amedeo Amadei.
The Genovese forward has been called up before. Gian Piero Gasperini brought him up for the last game of the season in May.
Pellegri is the second player born in the second millennium to play in Serie A after Moise Kean of Juventus. He’s scored four goals in nine appearances in the Primavera (U-21 league) for Genoa this season.
