He may be the future of Italian defending, but for now Daniele Rugani’s club career is somewhat up in the air.
20 year Rugani has been a rock at the heart of the Empoli defence this season on the Azzurri’s return to the top flight. His performances have been to such a standard that his parent club Juventus bought out the full rights to his contract from Empoli in January before quickly loaning him back to the Tusacan club.
However with the season coming to an end there is much speculation as to where Rugani will be playing his football next year. Fears abound that if he returns to the Bianconeri his progression may stagnate due to lack of action, this has lead to many a club being banded about in a possible loan move for the centre half.
The latest club to have expressed and interest is Genoa. According to La Nazione The Grifone are said to be very keen in securing a loan deal for the player to help them build on a positive 2014/2015 season.
Rugani has made 36 appearances scoring three times in this campaign.
