The Ligurian club have put pen to paper on two new defensive acquisitions before the end of the mercato, to help boost their pursuit towards Serie A survival.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Genoa have officially completed a loan deal for Udinese defender Gabriel Silva and finalized the signing of 22-year old right-back Riccardo Fiamozzi on a permanent basis from Pescara. The Grifone recently announced the signings via a press release on their official website:
”Genoa CFC announces that it has acquired from Udinese Calcio on a temporary loan, the rights of defender Gabriel Silva (Piracicaba, Brazil, 13/05/1991) and the permanent signing, from Delfino Pescara 1936, the rights of defender Riccardo Fiamozzi (Mezzocorona, Trento, 18/05/1993). The two players have already completed their medicals and today participated in their first training session at the Centro Sportivo Signorini “.
Fiamozzi, a former Milan youth product, played 15 games for Pescara this season in Serie B. As for Gabriel Silva, the left-back appeared in 16 games for Udinese, notching three assists.
