The Italian club’s official twitter account posted a tweet of the midfielder back in training this afternoon. The 25 year old has been a mainstay in the starting eleven this season for the Greek side, having appeared in all 16 league matches thus far.
Hiljemark first arrived in Serie A at the beginning of the 2015 Serie A season, joining Palermo on a permanent basis. He has made 14 appearances for Genoa in the past, scoring 2 goals for the club. It will be interesting to see if head coach Davide Ballardini will give the Swede consistent playing time throughout the second half of the season.
