Inter striker Mauro Icardi met with Inter ultras following Sunday’s 3-0 victory over mid-table Palermo.
The Nerazzurri swept the Rosanero aside as Icardi netted twice. The striker, who was impressive throughout the afternoon, was clearly not in the mood for celebrations as he refused to celebrate both of his goals.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Argentine met with fans in the San Siro underground garage following the events in an attempt to help clarify the misunderstanding created following the club’s 3-1 defeat to Sassuolo, their first ever against the Neroverdi, at the Mapei stadium last Sunday.
Icardi had given his jersey to frustrated fans but was left disappointed when his jersey was lobbed back at him. This led to an argument between the striker and supporters, where Maurito was led away by the team captain Andrea Ranocchia.
However, it now seems that fans and the player have come to terms and are ready to start celebrating again.
