Following Inter’s 2-1 defeat to Southampton, Nerazzurri attacker Mauro Icardi spoke of his teams struggles.

“Nothing’s going right, we must do whatever it takes to turn things around.” Stated Icardi, “We played well in the first half but I don’t know why whenever we concede a goal our whole world seems to come crumbling down. We conceded the second in a strange way.

The Inter captain also spoke about the recent changes following the release of de Boer.

“It’s always the coach who pays the price in football because you can’t sack 25 players.” Icardi continued, “We’ll get on with the job with Vecchi then we’ll see what the club decides.”

Icardi also stated “It’s going to be hard for us to qualify from the group now but as long as it’s still possible we have to go for it.”
