AS Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has spoken to the media regarding numerous injuries his squad faces ahead of their match against Austria Wien tomorrow evening in the Europa League.
Most notably the newest addition to the list is center back Federico Fazio
Spalletti discusses the injury to Fazio:
” During the last game Fazio suffered an injury to his right calf and is to be evaluated further. It would be a risk for him to play tomorrow. You will not see him on the field for training today, if he feels okay he will do something alone, but not with the team”
Spalletti on the various absentees before the match against Austria Wien:
” I took the sheet of injured players, the novelties include Palmieri who has a small lesion in the left calf, Manolas will train individually Friday and Saturday and will likely be back for the match against Atalanta. Totti has a muscle strain in his left flexor and will be assessed further next week. Florenzi, Rui, Nura, and Vermaelen will continue their usual routes in their rehabilitation process.”
With plenty of players on the injury report, it is likely that some unfamiliar faces may get a chance at some playing time in tomorrows Europa League contest.
