Inter finally ended their long winless drought dating back well into 2017 with a 2-1 victory at home against Bologna.
Samir Handanovic (6.5): Made a great save on Palacio early but was finally beaten by the Argentine veteran soon after. Other than that, another solid performance from the Slovenian.
Joao Cancelo (6): Cancelo had all of his qualities on display today and worked well with Karamoh. The Portuguese needs more performances like today in order to secure his starting role.
Milan Skriniar (6): Played a strong game all day long and demonstrated to be well on his way towards Serie A stardom. Matches like these aren’t easy but the young Slovakian looked composed all day.
Miranda (4): Made error after error which was surprising for a player of his stature. It’s been a rough stretch for the experienced Brazilian which carried through the afternoon. Subbed off at the half.
Danilo D’Ambrosio (6): Had an easier afternoon than I would have expected as Bologna’s Orsolini looked lost at times. Unlikely on the ball that hit the post.
Borja Valero (5.5): The ex-Fiorentina man wasn’t a big factor in today’s nail-biter. He didn’t possess the ball often and still looks undertone from what he used to be earlier in the season.
Matias Vecino (6): A positive match for the Uruguayan. Played as the destroyer for the Nerazzurri and was tasked with disrupting Bologna’s flow and passing game. Did well in both departments.
Yann Karamoh (7.5): The young Frenchman showed signs of true promise and received a standing ovation from the Inter crowd. The entire game he gave Bologna’s defense problems and finally scored the winner later on in the match. Addio Candreva?
Marcelo Brozovic (6): Assisted Eder’s opener in the second minute but was still given a rough response by the Inter faithful. Jeered as he was coming off and sarcastically applauded them back. That’s what will make the headlines, not the fact he played a decent match.
Ivan Perisic (5): Perisic looks lost. It’s not a good moment for the Croatian at all and he really failed to inspire. Made several errors in the final third and should’ve scored an easy goal assisted by Eder. Rough day.
Eder (6.5): It took the Italy international only two minutes to give Inter the lead. After that he continued to fight up against the Rossoblu’s defense causing problems all afternoon. No Icardi, no problem.
Rafinha (6): Shook up the Inter midfield when he replaced Brozovic but failed to do anything of note.
Lisandro Lopez (6): Came on for the dreadful Miranda and was stable the rest of the way.
Roberto Gagliardini (6): Played the vital ball that assisted Karamoh’s winner. Not a bad cameo from the Italian.
