Inter Milan are the latest club to be linked with a move for the Italian International according to reports.
The PSG playmaker has come in for criticism from many sections of the French media for his struggle to find form since his return from the groin injury that kept him out of Euro 2016. However, despite Unai Emery’s confirmed happiness with the player’s 60 minutes in PSG’s 1-0 win at Lille yesterday, reports in Le Parisien suggest that Inter have joined the race to prize Verratti’s future away from the Parc des Princes.
The Paris based paper suggests that Inter have already made contact with Verratti’s agent, Donato Di Campli, and are ready to offer the 23 year old diminutive midfielder 6 million euros a season with a fee of 50 million euros making it’s way to PSG.
The Nerazzurri have struggled for consistency under Frank De Boer this season. The Dutchman’s side have struggled to control games this season and yesterday’s 1-0 loss to Sampdoria poses further questions and doubts over De Boer’s future at the club. Verratti’s capture would be a much welcomed addition to the Inter side. However, the player has also been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid as well as fierce rivals AC Milan. Despite all the speculation, the player himself has reiterated his desire to win more trophies for the PSG shirt. It remains to be seen where Verratti will be come the end of January.
