Following Inter’s less than stellar start of the season, Inter is trying to jump-start following the international break.
In the third week of play, De Boer’s Inter will face Massimo Oddo’s Pescara at the ‘Stadio Adriatico’. De Boer spoke about the upcoming match in his most recent press conference.
“We’re ready to be serious, the team has 3 matches in 7 days. Today was the first day we could all play together and focus on the Pescara match. The formation? You will see it tomorrow, all of our players with the exception of Andreolli and Ansaldi will be available.
This transfer market brought many players to De Boer’s team, including Joao Mario: “He’s a box to box midfielder, and can play in all the positions. He can also coexist with Brozovic and they are both great players, in the end we will see.
“During the international break those who stayed at Appiano trained mostly physically, we can all get better working on the tactical side together. It’s normal that there is criticism, Inter is a great club and has many eyes on it. It will take hard work and patience, in the end, not even Rome was built in a day. Inter has struggled greatly in the past years, so it’s to be expected that rebuilding will take time.
“From the beginning I’ve had confidence in this group, I think this team can perform very well. I’m not focused on the past, on people that were here before me. We have to get better when it comes to balancing the squad tactically.
“In the end, we cant perform a miracle in 3 days. Nagatomo? He is well, he will be coming to Pescara. Erkin? Im not going to respond to his comments.”
