With the Serie A season only six days away, new Inter coach Frank De Boer has made it known that he desires one last addition to the squad before the transfer window closes on August 31st.
While Inter has been linked with Sporting CP’s Joao Mario, the Dutchman has called for Inter to sign a central defender. According to Mediaset, the two names on his list are Manchester United’s Daley Blind and Zenit St.Petersburg man Ezequiel Garay.
Since joining the Red Devils back in 2013, Blind has made 61 appearances for the club and has found the back of the net 3 times. The Dutch international is a very versatile player who is used primarily at center back but can be used at left back and also in the center of midfield.
At the age of 26, Blind still has many years ahead of him and fellow country mate De Boer could very well help jump start his career.
Garay on the other hand is a true center back who has played with many big clubs throughout his career. At the age of 29 the Argentine International has played for the likes of Real Madrid, Benfica and currently Zenit St.Petersburg. Since joining Zenit back in 2013 Garay has made 43 appearances for the club scoring on three occasions.
