Inter look set to replace Mancini as tensions continue to build between management and coach
According to Fabrizio Romano, current Inter coach Roberto Mancini will part ways with Inter. This move follows Inters 6-1 thrashing at the hands Tottenham on Friday and the new owners – Suning Holdings Group no longer believe Mancini is the man to return Inter to its former glory. As such Romano is reporting that his departure will be officially announced by the club and is to be replaced by Frank De Boer.
Frank De Boer is come off the back of a successful 6 year stint at Ajax which ended in 2015/16 after losing the Eredivisie title to PSV. De Boer lead the dutch giants to 4 league titles throughout his tenure and has been linked to English Premier League clubs Everton & Southampton but both had filled. Conversely this will be his first role outside of his native Holland.
Suning Holdings Group believe the appointment of De Boer will help to lead the former champions back to its former glory and most important participating in Champions League once again which is viewed as an important source of revenue for clubs involved.
