Inter fined €15,000 for “discriminating” chants against Neapolitans

An all too often occurrence from Northern Italian sides when anti-Neapolitan chants were rained down from the Curva.

MILAN – The sporting judiciaries in Italian football responded on Tuesday with fines for the Nerazzurri in response to “territorial discrimination” chants during Inter vs Napoli at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

A fine of €15,000 was issued to Inter due to chants during the first 10 minutes of the game.

Inter was also fined €4,000 for “delaying the start of the game without reason.”

Napoli was also fined €2,500 for their role in delaying the start of the match.
