Inter star Mauro Icardi lamented their disappointing performance and subsequent elimination from the Europa League.
Inter traveled to Hapoel Beer Sheva in an attempt to revive their Europa League fortunes.
Despite a positive inital 45 minutes in which Inter would go 0-2 ahead, they would eventually succumb to a 3-2 loss.
Inter captian Icardi spoke to Inter Channel on the loss and elimination.
“Inter started off well from the first minute, we wanted to do well and for forty-five minutes we succeeded. The second half is something we want to forget, we played with no character.
“This often happens to us, but it is something we need to solve. We need to focus on the strength of this group, starting with our training.
“We know that we have no excuses, it is close to Christmas and we have struggled for results.
“If we play as a team we can do well, now we must go back with our heads down, shut up and work hard.”
