Inter returned to winning ways this week against Genoa, although it wasn’t all positives for the nerazzurri…
Returning to the top of the table thanks to a 1-0 scoreline from Adem Ljajic’s free kick goal, Inter also had D’Ambrosio sent off in the 86th minute due to a second yellow card received. This is the eighth 1-nil finish that Inter have recorded this season.
Speaking to media following the match, here is what Inter-boss, Roberto Mancini, had to say:
“We are delighted to have won 1-0, Genoa is not an easy team to deal with. It was important to win again to confirm the good things we have done so far. In the first half we had several chances and against Genoa, we become dangerous. The expulsion? I don’t really want to talk about it.
Tonight we played well. I’m disappointed the second goal was disallowed, but I repeat that tonight we all played well.
The transformation of Ljajic? There hasn’t been a transformation because he is technically sound, he had already demonstrated that in Rome and Florence. He can do even more, we are happy as he is doing very well.”
