Inter boss, Roberto Mancini, spoke to the media following Inter’s 2-1 loss at the hands of Lazio.

Here’s what Mancini had to say following the match regarding his squads performance.

“You can not do stupid things like we did in the end… We played with concentration at the beginning but we were to inattentive. A team at the top of the table can still play bad, but we need to be smart and realize that we can still end with a draw.

Was tonight a disaster? I don’t think so. Even though we did not play a great game in the first half, in the second we did better. The error on the penalty is something we simply cannot commit.

Favorites for the Scudetto? It will be a fight until the end. Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina are all strong teams. Of course we are still early.

I’m disappointed because sometimes there are games you do not win, simply because you play badly. But you cannot lose for stupid reasons, we did everything to ourselves. It’s clear we must keep focused until the final minute of the game. We did not play well, but it was a game we shouldn’t have lost.

What I said in the locker room to Melo? I think nervousness caused the penalty, but those things are between us.”
