Andrea Ranocchia has been linked with moves away from Inter for the whole transfer window, but all appear to have fallen through – except for one. In fact, as reported today by Gianluca di Marzio, some significant steps forward have been made for the centre-back’s passage to Hull City.

The Tigers, who have been in dire straits this year and have recently sold Jake Livermore, one of their best defenders, are looking for a replacement at the back. Marco Silva, the current Hull manager, is on good terms with Suning, which might prove a decisive factor in unlocking the deal: Hull insist, Inter ponder their offer and Ranocchia waits.
