Inter are waiting for Barcelona’s response on their latest offer for Rafinha.
Barcelona’s response to Inter for a Rafinha loan could come tomorrow. Inter’s latest offer has seen the option to buy increase to €35 million on the loan deal already proposed by Inter, consequently an extra €5 million could be added to the final deal as a result of performance-based bonuses should Rafinha join Inter.
In addition to Rafinha Inter have been linked with Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge in the past few days. Sturridge would be signed as an alternative to Éder as Inter are lacking striker options should an injury occur to club captain and star player Mauro Icardi.
Liverpool are open to a loan deal with an option to buy as Sturridge offered himself to Inter according to Tuttosport.
Sturridge is keen on the move as it would ensure more playing time so his chances of being included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at the World Cup in June are more favourable. Sturridge isn’t a priority for Inter at this moment in time but this could change later on in the transfer window.
Sturridge has played for Liverpool since 2012 but has struggled with injuries in the past few years and a change of scenery to the San Siro could be a turning point in his career and ensure he is a part of England’s World Cup squad this summer.
