Inter winger Ivan Perišić is a doubt for their upcoming game against Genoa on Saturday after suffering a shoulder sprain.
It was all smiles this weekend as the Nerazzurri ended their eight match winless run in Serie A, defeating Bologna 2-1 thanks to goals from Éder and a first in Inter colours for the young Yann Karamoh.
Despite Inter fans celebrating their first win since a 5-0 victory over Chievo last December, there is now a cause for concern amongst Luciano Spalletti’s men as star winger Ivan Perišić is reportedly suffering from a shoulder sprain, according to Tuttomercato.
Perišić suffered the sprain to his shoulder during the victory over Bologna and after undergoing medical tests yesterday, the Croatian’s injury was confirmed as a sprain to his shoulder.
The former Wolfsburg star is likely to miss the trip to Genoa later this week as the Milanese giants look to turn over their bad form with a second consecutive victory.
For Spalletti, Perišić has been a key player for Inter this season as in 24 appearances, the Croatian international has scored seven goals and provided an additional six assists.
Inter currently sit in third place after the latest round of games, still holding control of a UEFA Champions League spot.
