AC Milan closed strong for Filippo Inzaghi in the summer transfer market after letting go of striker Mario Balotelli in a move to Liverpool.
In the final days Milan closed out with two loans from Chelsea in striker Fernando Torres and midfielder Marco van Ginkel, respectively, and also added Giacomo Bonaventura in the final hour of the market. Inzaghi spoke on those transfers today in Nyon.
“Milan’s transfer market? Excellent. Closed [the market] with a bang with the arrivals of Bonaventura, van Ginkel and Torres. We have a great attack.”
After failing to sign Jonathan Biabiany in a debacle caused by Cristian Zaccardo’s unwillingness to sign for Parma, the Rossoneri went after Bonaventura and were able to secure the deal with Atalanta for €7 million. Van Ginkel’s loan is only for the upcoming 2014-15 season while Torres’ loan will be for a period of two years.
