Leonardo Pavoletti is soaking up the experience while training with the Azzurri and says he is ready to go if the manager calls upon him for the upcoming matches.
Speaking directly to the media from Coverciano ahead of Italy’s upcoming fixture against Liechtenstein, Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti discussed his expectations for the game and what is he out to prove after his selection.
On if he has the trust of Giampiero Ventura:
Certainly. I have always been told that if you are being talked about, then they are interested. He has spoken to me a bit more because I am not used to played alongside another striker. The movements are not perfect, it is still something to be corrected.
On what he expects from Saturday’s encounter:
Patience will be needed. Against Italy, teams always play the game of their lives. It will be difficult, we must be good to unlock the opponent and bring home the three points.
On if he feels behind in the depth chart to Belotti and Immobile:
I feel equal to them but it is right like this. They are young players who want to do well, then the decision is up to the CT. I am always available.
On what he is out to prove at Coverciano after being left off the EURO 2016 squad:
I hope to go to the World Cup. I took in this air back in September, I am happy. I have never been with the National Team. I treat every session as if it could be my last and I will enjoy it until the end.
