Juventus have been heavily in on signing Atalanta’s Franck Kessie, but appear to be calling off their pursuit of the Ivorian midfielder.
The latest on the Franck Kessie front now has Juventus pulling out of the race for Atalanta’s young star, reveals Calciomercato.com’s Fabrizio Romano.
Kessie, who has been one of the Bianconeri’s top targets leading up to next month’s transfer window, is also gaining heavy interest from Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham. The exclusive from Romano claims that Marotta and Juventus do not wish to get into a heated bidding war with the English clubs who are already exceeding the price — 20 million euros — the Italian champions are willing to spend.
Juventus, now seven points clear of Roma in first after winning last night, have directed their attention towards landing Atalanta’s Italian duo Mattia Caldara and Roberto Gagliardini. While being favorites to seal deals for both La Dea stars, the Old Lady also aim to finally secure Axel Witsel from Zenit St. Petersburg.
