Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain is a huge doubt to face Atalanta tomorrow as he has been training separately from his teammates.
In the Derby della Mole, Gonzalo Higuain suffered an ankle injury and was forced off after 15 minutes, and despite the injury not being relatively serious, the Argentinian international isn’t fit enough to face Atalanta tomorrow.
Initially, it was assumed that Higuain would recover in time for tomorrow’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Napoli star trained alone.
Juventus have a busy schedule ahead of them and with the return leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Tottenham Hotspurs being played at Wembley next week, his manager Massimiliano Allegri won’t risk him.
Juventus are also without Juan Cuadrado, Federico Bernardeschi and Mattia De Sciglio for the clash against Atalanta, but i Bianconeri are the favourites to progress through to their fourth Coppa Italia final in four years as they lead Atalanta 1-0 after defeating La Dea in the first leg at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
