The Juventus midfielder had nothing but praise for his side’s performance against Atalanta on Wednesday evening.
TURIN – Blaise Matuidi rounded off an impressive performance with a late goal that pushed Juve to a 2-0 win over Atalanta. With all matches now caught up, the Bianconeri are four points ahead of second place Napoli.
“I’m feeling many different emotions,” Matuidi told Sky Sport after scoring his first goal at the Allianz Stadium. “I had already scored away from here, but scoring at the Stadium is different. I’m very happy. Higuain did well for having already put us in the lead earlier!”
“There’s still a long way to go and the only thing that will count is how things are at the end of the season. It’s nice to be at the top of the table but we’ll have to keep thinking about winning. Now we have to think about the SPAL game.”
“It’s always important to win, we don’t know if we’ll make it to 100 points, but seeing how Napoli is still winning we’ll always have to think about bringing home the three points.”
