After missing out on him this past summer, Juventus are still keen on Zenit midfielder Axel Witsel.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are set to offer Zenit six million euros for Witsel once the January transfer window opens. The player’s contract expires in the summer and is available on the cheap. With the Italian champions looking to bolster their midfield ranks, the Belgian international represents an ideal option.
If the Russian side rejects Juventus’ offer of six million euros, Juventus may wait to sign the player on a free transfer in the summer transfer window, once his contract expires.
