The Brazilian defender’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain is close to expiring but may extend it before the end of 2018.
Juventus may have to turn else where for a quality defender as a road block has been thrown up by Thiago Silva’s parent club Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ligue 1 club PSG are been in negotiations with Thiago Silva.
President Nasser Al Khelaifi keen on retaining the Brazilian star with a new deal offered till 2020.
The new contract would also include a higher release clause.
Additionally, Juventus would struggle to meet Thiago Silva’s current wage demands which stand at €12 million.
As such the Serie A leaders may need to source a cheaper defender and or promote one of their many youth prospects.
Previously Thiago Silva played for AC Milan, making 106 appearances in his time there.
