Today, Juventus took on Atalanta away from home and prevailed by a score of 2-0.
Here’s how we rated their performances –
Gianluigi Buffon (6.5): The veteran custodian handled everything that came his way expertly. Made a lovely save at the end of the second half to keep his clean sheet streak alive.
Stephan Lichtsteiner (6.5): The Swiss Express marauded the right flank as per usual and was defensively astute.
Andrea Barzagli (8.0) IFD MOTM: Barzagli played a near perfect match today in the defensive phase and added a goal to his already fantastic season. Match-winner.
Leonardo Bonucci (6.5): The former Bari man had a solid but unspectacular game alongside Barzagli and showed no signs of slowing down in a back four.
Patrice Evra (6.5): Evra was good both in his defensive third and in the final third. What more can you ask for from the veteran?
Sami Khedira (7.0): The former Real Madrid man was simply everywhere today and also made some piercing runs at the heart of the Atalanta defence. Impressive performance from him.
Marchisio (6.5): The Italian international controlled the tempo of this game and helped his side deal with one of the peninsula’s most difficult away trips with ease.
Paul Pogba (5.5): The Frenchman tried to do too much every time he was in possession. He’ll need to snap out of this slump soon.
Roberto Pereyra (6.0): The Argentine started his first game since coming back from injury and the rust showed. After a few moments of brilliance, Pereyra’s final ball would let him down.
Paulo Dybala (6.5): La Joya was dropping deeper than usual and made a number of dangerous runs when in possession. That said, he needs to stay more central if he’s to score more goals.
Mario Mandzukic (6.5): The Croatian forward never stopped running throughout the whole game and was his usual relentless self. Unlucky not to find the back of the net.
Mario Lemina (7.0): The midfielder came on for Khedira and made an instant impact. After dribbling past two Atalanta players, Lemina slotted home expertly from outside the box. Pogba-esque.
