Reports from Italy are suggesting that Andrej Kramaric is being targeted by a number of Serie A clubs in the January transfer window.
Flying high atop the Premier League table, Leicester City are having a storied season thanks to Jamie Vardy’s explosion onto the scene. However, when one striker is in unplayable form, the other strikers can be rooted to the bench for the foreseeable future. One of those strikers is Croatian international Andrej Kramaric, a talented forward who is ready to depart the league leaders in search of first-team opportunities.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, a few Serie A clubs are on high alert, seeing his desire to leave England as a chance to tempt him into a move to Il Bel Paese. Bologna and Genoa have him in their sights, along with Giampiero Ventura’s Torino who are in the search of another skilled striker to bolster their attack.
They will not be alone in their battle for the Croatian as Bournemouth and Watford may offer him space to shine without leaving the EPL. Di Marzio also reports that PAOK and Lyon have thrown their names into the hat of clubs aiming for Kramaric’s signature.
A product of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth system, Kramaric has made only 20 appearances and scored 4 goals across all competitions in the last season and a half with Leicester City. Prior to last season’s move, the 24 year-old had scored 21 goals in 18 appearances for his then-club HNK Rijeka of the Prva HNL (Croatian First Football League).
