Milan’s new striker Gianluca Lapadula spoke to Milan TV today about his move to the rossoneri among other things.

Lapadula began by talking about the move itself. He told Milan TV,:

“Seeing Galliani and their headquarters really had an effect on me. Not many clubs have a headquarters like this. Seeing their museum was emotional, it’s fantastic. I saw many trophies and it played a role in the deal. The Champions League is the highest honor in football. The museum transmits a great desire to enter into the history of the club. It won’t be easy but with hunger and hard work we can reach these objectives.”

On the negotiations and the deal:

“It was something that both parties wanted. Galliani and Berlusconi were the difference in the negotiations, it was love at first sight.”

On the San Siro:

“It will be beautiful playing there. It’s the most beautiful stadium in Italy and playing there with Milan will be even more special. I can’t even begin the imagine the moment.”

On the move to Milan in general:

“It’s definitely a launching point for my career.”

On his nickname, Sir William:

“It’s for Sir William from the movie Braveheart. My brother called me that.”

On his former coach, Massimo Oddo:

“I’d like to thank him and his staff because they have helped me accomplish something extraordinary. We spoke about Milan and he told me of how good it is there. Now that I’m here I hope to make him proud.”
