Tonight’s summit at Arcore between Silvio Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani and Filippo Inzaghi is expected to have five names enter the discussion for Milan’s future transfer plans.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, heading the list of names will be Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder, Douglas Costa and Paris Saint Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Costa doesn’t like the surrounding political situation of playing football in Ukraine and has been looking for a move away from the country. AS Monaco and Arsenal have also been linked to Costa in the past few days and a move for the 23-year-old could be a bit expensive for Milan’s current financial situation.
Lavezzi has been linked with Milan before and could be the third major PSG player to leave the Parc des Princes for the San Siro. The 29-year-old spent five seasons in Serie A at Napoli before he moved to France for a transfer sum of €26.5 million in 2012.
The Argentine forward has also been linked with rivals Juventus and Liverpool.
Also joining the discussion will be Adel Taarabt who joined Milan on loan for the second half of the season. Milan have so far been opposed to paying QPR what they want for the Moroccan with talks of the midfielder costing Milan €4 million.
Torino’s Alessio Cerci will potentially be discussed even though the Italian’s reported €20 million price tag has kept Milan at bay.
Arsenal’s Joel Campbell is the fifth name and has been linked with a loan from the Premier League side. However, Arsene Wenger is reluctant to let the exciting youngster leave.
