The Ponte Preta star will join Napoli’s Primavera squad in January as he becomes the club’s first signing of the transfer window.
Napoli have officially acquired their first player for 2017. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ponte Preta’s Brazilian wonderkid Leandrinho, passed his medical at Castel Volturno and will link up with his new club come January. Upon his arrival, the 18-year old winger will train with Sarri’s men but ply his trade with the Primavera squad as he begins his time adapting to il calcio italiano. The deal is reported to have cost Napoli €560k to sign the talented Brazilian.
Leandrinho is known to be a fantastic dribbler, sharp passing abilities and great pace. Not shy to duel with his markers, the right-footed winger’s combination of speed and footwork can be a dangerous cocktail for opposing back-lines. Should he impress enough to be called up by Maurizio Sarri, he could be a interesting addition on the wing in the tactician’s preferred 4-3-3.
