Gabriel Barbosa has not burst onto the scene like many experts had previously thought.

Inter is preparing to temporarily wave goodbye to Gabigol in January. The player’s agent announced a few days ago that his client would likely leave Inter on loan.

“In January we’ll resolve this situation once and for all. Is there a chance he could return to Brazil? The chance exists, but it’s much easier that he gets sent on loan in Italy.

For now, Bologna, Empoli, Genoa and Pescara are the most interested Italian teams. However, news from England arrived today as Leicester City is ready to take another dive at Gabigol.

The Foxes are keen on adding another striker to their roster, but won’t do so on a permanent basis, according to Calciomercato. Inter invested nearly €30 million in the 20-year-old and won’t let him go at this time permanently.

A loan deal to Leicester also seems a bit difficult, because Gabigol needs time to get used to Serie A. He’s in the Nerazzurri’s long-term plans, he just simply hasn’t adapted well due to the changes in coaches this year for the club.

The Brazilian starlet made waves during the Olympics for his country as they won the Gold medal at Rio 2016. He also made his debut for the Brazil national team and has scored two goals in four appearances.

So far this season, Gabigol has made just one appearance and that came as a 16 minute cameo.
