Former Inter and Milan coach Leonardo spoke to Sky this afternoon making it clear he will not be returning to the Inter bench.
“It is not an easy situation, Inter are playing very bad. We can not forget that Inter has undergone two changes of ownership over the past three years and have changed many players. They have to understand the position they are in. I’m glad that my name is out of consideration, but I think more to the past than the present. I would not be the right profile for Inter, it can not be be, I do not think of returning to Inter I am happy as is”
The former Brazilian international managed Inter during the 2010-2011 campaign after controversially joining from their city rivals Milan who he managed in the 2009-2010 season.
In his one season at Inter he was able to guide them to a 76 point season, six points behind that seasons champions who coincidentally turned out to be the the Rossoneri. Leonardo also played for seasons at Milan from 1997-2001 where he scored 22 goals in 96 appearances.
