Liverpool Right-Back Trent Alexander-Arnold believes that the atmosphere in the Stadio Olimpico will be “intimidating” as the Reds travel to Rome this week.
Last week’s Champions League Semi-Final First-Leg ended in a convincing 5-2 victory for Liverpool at Anfield. If the Giallorossi are to progress through to their first Final since 1984 they will have to stage another comeback like they did against Barcelona.
Alexander-Arnold has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season and the 19 year-old spoke with the Reds’ official website with regards to the huge Second-Leg on Wednesday.
“We are looking to go there to win and get to the final. We know they are going to have to come and score goals. They need to score goals to get through, the same as City”
“We passed the City test and hopefully we pass the test on Wednesday. There is pace in the side and when the opposition gamble we can play behind them.
“The front three especially will make the runs and we will look to find them. We are going there with a job to do, to go there and win”.
Alexander-Arnold mentioned the hostile atmosphere in Rome and warned that his side will have to be prepared for the Roma faithful inside the stadium.
“We know it is going to be an intimidating atmosphere and that is what they will look to do, just as our fans did to them. We have to be prepared mentally and physically”.
