The Reds continue to eye Sassuolo’s attacker in January.
While the immediate future of Domenico Berardi seems likely to remain in Sassuolo, rumors are beginning to insist on a move in July.
Juventus holds all the cards to sign Berardi, especially given head coach Massimiliano Allegri’s latest words of admiration for the Italy international. But Liverpool and Inter continue to try to run the table against them.
According to the Gazzetta di Modena, the 22-year old winger is being followed by Liverpool who in turn do have the funds to bid higher than Juve’s €25 million option. It’s not a guaranteed fact that Berardi will land in Turin in July.
Liverpool sent scouts to Italy to observe Berardi in the early part of the season before he was injured. Now with Berardi returning to the pitch, it’s likely scouts will begin again flocking to the MAPEI Stadium to observe him.
Berardi scored seven goals in six competitive matches this season before suffering a nagging knee injury. He did return to action against Torino last weekend.
