The Brazilian striker has not done much this season to convince Milan of keeping on board and the Russian club are ready to welcome him with open arms.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adriano Galliano is planning an exodus of players due to the abundance of attackers in the squad and Luiz Adriano could be one of the players packing his bags at Milan. The newest manager at Zenit Saint-Petersburg, Mircea Lucescu, is tempted to reunite with Brazilian as the two worked together during their time at Shakhtar Donetsk.
After Hulk’s massive €41.5 million move to Shanghai SIPG of the Chinese Super League, Zenit could look to Adriano to help fill the goal-scoring void left behind by his Brazil counterpart. This would be his second chance at attempting a move to China. Back in January during the winter mercato, his move to Jiangsu Suning fell apart over salary demands which prompted an immediate return to the San Siro.
The 29-year old only managed four goals in 26 games, an unconvincing stat for a player who only two seasons ago, lit up the Ukranian Premier League with 20 goals in 25 games for Shakhtar.
