Milan were the only Italian side to win in the Europa League tonight after a convincing 3-0 victory over Ludogorets.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (5.5): Donnarumma looked out of his element tonight, the 18 year old preferred to punch the ball rather than catch it and he looked somewhat of a liability all evening. More is expected from a player who is usually so commanding in goal.
Davide Calabria (5): Calabria started over first choice left-back Rodríguez and was unable to do anything of note. Calabria struggles on the left side of the defence as his ability with his left foot is poor and that was clear again tonight.
Alessio Romagnoli (8.5): Milan’s best player and the young defender is starting to really make a name for himself, the Italian International was able to deal with any Ludogorets attack with ease and looked confident on the ball for the entire game.
Leonardo Bonucci (8): An extremely solid performance at the back for Bonucci, a routine performance for one of the best defenders in the world.
Ignazio Abate (4): Abate’s age is starting to catch up with him and the 31 year old was booked during the first five minutes when he was beaten for pace. If not for an offside Abate would have received a red card and given away a penalty for a shocking challenge. Was replaced by Rodríguez to avoid getting sent off.
Giacomo Bonaventura (6.5): Provided the assist for Patrick Cutrone’s opener and put in a good shift for the Rossoneri tonight.
Lucas Biglia (7): Was commanding in his natural Regista position and was able to provide good passes for his teammates despite being under high pressure for the entire 90 minutes. Helped out the defence with his defensive contribution as well.
Franck Kessié (7.5): Covered the whole pitch for the entire game and the Ludogorets team was unable to deal with his physical presence. The 21 year-old is starting to dominate the Milan midfield.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu (5): The in-form winger was unable to contribute anything of note in the first half and was uninvolved for the entire second half.
Patrick Cutrone (7.5): Cutrone continued his great form and scored again today with a fantastic header on the stroke of half time. In addition to this Cutrone won Milan a penalty when he was pushed over in the penalty area after a powerful run down the pitch.
Suso (4.5): A wasteful performance by the Spanish winger who is normally so important for Milan. Suso was greedy and rarely passed the ball, ran the ball into defenders and was off target with his shooting. right-sided winger looked tired and this is most likely the reason for his uncharacteristic performance.
Ricardo Rodríguez (7.5): Replaced the terrible Abate and provided a solid defensive contribution, scored Milan’s second with a cool penalty minutes after coming on the pitch.
André Silva (6): Replaced Cutrone and was unable to get involved in the game, worked hard in pressuring the Ludogorets defenders.
Fabio Borini (7): Came on for the final 15 minutes and worked tirelessly as usual. Scored a nice goal at the end of the game.
