Lazio midfielder Senad Lulic didn’t hold back in his post game press conference following an embarrassing loss at home to Sparta Prague in Europa League.

The Bosnian international was interviewed on Lazio Style Channel following the defeat where he gave his candid account of the evening.

“I don’t know what to say, we wanted to advance and move on. We got everything wrong; being down 3 goals in the first half is inexplicable. It is something that we cannot accept as players; we are ashamed of this result. The last thing that we wanted was to go out of Europa League like this, in our house, in front of our fans with this result.

“Nothing went right, not defensively or in attack. Not even scoring a goal at home is incredible, and the chances were there. Now we have to play to the best of our abilities to close the season the most positive way possible.

“I do not know if it was mental, maybe after the first leg we thought that we had already advanced. You can’t think about the quarterfinals before playing the round of 16. I don’t know what was the error, today we got everything wrong.”
