According to SportMediaset, Manchester City have outlined Roma’s Kostantinos “Kostas” Manolas as a potential transfer target.
Having been unable to proceed in their attempts to lure away Juventus’s Leonardo Bonucci and John Stones from Everton, the Cityzens will now look to sign the 25 year-old Greek center back.
Manolas has played a crucial part in Roma’s success over the last couple of seasons, having featured in 67 league games since joining in August of 2014. His physical attributes and aggressive defending have made him arguably one of the best defenders in Serie A and it was only a matter of time before big teams came knocking for him.
Roma may have no interest in unloading the player, which means Pep Guardiola’s team will have to dig deep into their pockets if they hope to take Manolas out of the italian capital.
