AC Milan have two goalkeeping phenoms coming through their system.
Alessandro Plizzari, the other goalkeeper coming through the Rossoneri’s ranks is nothing short of spectacular in his own right.
Haven’t heard of him? Don’t worry, it’s difficult for another 16-year-old to make waves when a 17-year-old is making all the headlines.
This past summer, Plizzari caught the attention of Manchester City’s youth scouts and they quickly urged their club to make an offer. They did and presented a €2 million bid for the keeper, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Milan declined the offer, but the Citizens could return with another go in January.
Plizzari is the starter for the Primavera, which at 16 is extraordinary in itself. He’s also the third string goalkeeper behind Donnarumma and soon to be Marco Storari. The problem for him is, with Donnarumma’s ascent being so early in his career, there’s not much room for Plizzari at AC Milan. His future does in fact seem away from Milanello.
