Manchester City’s summer signing, Gabriel Jesus, revealed that he passed on the opportunity to join up with Juventus and Inter as he is a Milan supporter.
The Brazilian forward, who will link up with the English club in January 2017, explained why he denied a move to Italian giants Juventus and Inter.
Gabriel Jesus told Gazzetta dello Sport’s Extra Time magazine:
“I said no to Inter and Juve, that’s true. I’m a Milan fan!”
The Seleção attacker continued on to explain which two Italians he admires most:
“Gigi Buffon and Francesco Totti are my role models. I watched them on TV and picked them on video games.”
Gabriel Jesus, who is still with Palmeiras until he makes the switch to English football in the winter, says “working with a great manager like Guardiola” was one of the factors fueling his decision to join City rather than the mentioned Serie A outfits.
