Inter coach, Roberto Mancini spoke to media following his sides 2-1 victory over Carpi in Week 2 of Serie A action.
The nerazzurri travelled to Carpi to face the newly promoted side. While Carpi had their chances, especially during the second half, Jovetic secured the win with a brace, including a goal from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.
Today marked three goals under Jovetic in just two Serie A appearances with Inter.
Mancini commented on the early success his squad is having so far:
“It’s nice to have won this game, but our team can still improve a lot. We conceded an absurd goal, but I’m happy for them. Murillo and Miranda have been extraordinary and the defense has done well.”
“When you are up 1-0 it’s normal that you may concede something. We were good, we created chances but next time we have to close the match earlier.”
Looking ahead to their next Serie A fixture, Inter will take on Milan in the Derby della madonnina.
