Rolando Mandragora has signed with Juventus but will remain at Pescara until the end of the season.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Mandragora has signed a five-year contract with Juventus. The player’s agent, Vincenzo Pisacane, was in Turin on Wednesday where he met with Juventus officials to take care of the finer details of the transaction. Juventus had been following the player for quite some time prior to the move and fought off a number of suitors from within Italy to the player’s signature.
The Italian champions will pay Genoa seven million euros for the player and will have to pay a further seven million in bonuses if certain targets are met. The 18-year-old, however, will remain with Pescara until the end of the season, where he is currently out on loan for I grifoni.
The midfielder is set to be one of Italy’s brightest talents in the midfield and has convinced Juventus enough to splash the money for him. Last time, the bianconeri bought a promising midfielder from Gian Piero Gasperini’s side it was Stefano Sturaro, who has since established as an important squad player at the club.
Mandragora has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Serie B side and scored one goal.
