PSG wonderkid Marco Verratti says his ideal Champions League Final would be his PSG vs his beloved Juve, who he supported as a child.
When asked about his future, he calmly replied “A tie between my present and my future? For now all that counts is the present.”
The twenty-year-old Italy international also said that PSG kept their heads held high after last year’s elimination by Barcelona. He says he wants to see an improvement built on to last year’s success.
He also stated that he was positive with the clubs chances of winning the Champions League, due to the acquisitions the club made, such as Edinson Cavani, who was 2nd on Napoli’s all time scoring list, and 18 year old standout prospect Marquinhos, who played at Rome, and played good enough to find his way onto PSG’s Champions League roster, and later scored a goal in his first match.
Verratti proclaims that the other two Italian clubs, Napoli and Milan will need to be watched attentively, because they have quality players like Ricardo Kaka and Mario Balotelli. Verratti was monitored by these two clubs right before he left Pescara for the Paris based club in 2012 for a measly 12m Euros.
