The Liverpool outcast is desperately seeking a new destination, and has reportedly offered his talents to Sassuolo.
The saga surrounding Italy international Mario Balotelli continues to change once again as the Liverpool striker seeks a club in order to rejuvenate his career which has been lacklustre the past two seasons.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former AC Milan striker has offered himself to Sassuolo, hoping to restore order to his career.
Manager Eusebio Di Francesco however does not feel that Balotelli is the correct type of striker to suit his new system, and instead prefers Rossoneri forward Alessandro Matri to replace Sansone who moved to Villarreal. As such, the Neroverdi’s response to the striker’s proposal is lukewarm at best.
The 26-year-old has been offered to Ajax and Napoli, but neither club seems that interested. Chievo Verona could be the likely destination as the club has offered him a loan move from Liverpool, in which they would pay a portion of his wages to push the deal through.
