Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta spoke to the media following his side’s 3-0 thrashing of Borussia Dortmund.
Italian media outlet, Sky Sport, caught up with Juventus’ Giuseppe Marotta and asked him to comment on his side’s most recent victory in the Champions League. In his interview, Marotta told reporters,:
“When Allegri came, there was a lot of skepticism surrounding his appointment. However, he was able to maintain the team’s positive run both in the league and in the Champions League. But I’d also like to give credit to the players as well who played this game to the best of their abilities. Tonight, I saw a united group of players.”
When asked about the upcoming draw on Friday, the veteran sporting director said,:
“Nedved will go there alone because he’s lucky. It’s clear that a bit of luck never hurt anyone. Only good teams remain in the competition. We have an obligation to fight until the very end. Then whatever happens, happens.”
On Pogba’s injury, the Juventus man said,:
“It appears that it’s a muscular issue that we will attempt to clear up with tests tomorrow. We hope that we don’t lose anyone else in the team as we are entering into a delicate stage of the season.”
