Luca Marrone is, barring any late hitches, Sampdoria bound.
Earlier today here on ItalianFootballDaily.com we brought you the news about both Genovesi clubs, Sampdoria and Genoa, apparently chasing the Juventus midfielder. It now appears that Sampdoria have in fact won that chase.
Sky Sport Italia is reporting that La Samp have agreed a deal with the Bianconeri for the 24 year old, which will see him join the port city club initially on loan with the option for redemption at the end of the season. This announcement by Sky Sport Italia effectively means that the Blucerchiati have beaten out there city rivals to sign the player.
In further Doria news 31 year old Argentinian defender Nicolas Spolli is looking set to join the club from Serie B side Catania. Spolli has played 15 times in the second tier this season for the struggling Elefanti.
If this deal does go through it will allow current Sampdoria centre half Daniele Gastaldello make the move to another Serie B side, with it this time being promotion chasing Bologna.
Sampdoria have been one of the busiest clubs transfer wise in Serie A this January, with the potential of more to come over the remaining few days.
