In the early kick off on Sunday it’s a top of the table clash in Serie A as Chievo host Inter at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.
Three games into the season and it’s Inter who have made the best start to the season with 3 wins out of three and on a high after beating rivals Milan last week 1-0.
Chievo are another team flying in Serie A, after defeating Empoli on the opening day the Gialloblu thrashed Lazio 4-0 at home. Last weekend they were less than 10 minutes away from recording a shock victory over reigning Champions Juventus before a late Dybala penalty saw the game end 1-1.
It was last season in this fixture where Inter won their first game under Roberto Mancini 2-0 thanks to goals from Kovacic and Ranocchia.
“We always go out looking for the three points and to enjoy our football, but we know it won’t be easy to get a result against a side like Inter,”
“We have to work as a team, fighting for every ball. We still believe we can get all three points.”
“It’s never easy to go to Chievo’s place and it will be even tougher this time around because they’ve got off to a flying start.”
“I think it will take at least ten games before the league table starts to take shape and then we’ll see who’s able to challenge for which positions. Teams like Juventus and AC Milan are quite capable of stringing together a run of wins.”
Key Player to Watch
Last season’s top goalscorer with 22 goals has yet to get off the mark this season after missing the opening two games through injury. He returned last weekend to captain the side to a 1-0 win over Milan, and will be hoping his partneship with Jovetic improves on the pitch after the duo failed to impress last weekend.
